Top 3 private dining rooms in Sydney for Executive Roundtables
I’m always surprised by how few private dining rooms in Sydney can cater for up to 20 people.
We have a significant shortage in Sydney of rock-solid dining rooms suitable for roundtables. Luckily, it’s my job to know the good ones.
We pride ourselves on putting our clients in the best restaurants in Sydney, making your event both desirable and enjoyable for your guests.
Want to know what I look for when choosing a venue for your roundtables? Check out this recent post.
I have delivered an event in almost every private dining room in Sydney, so trust me when I say I know where NOT to go!
Here are my top 3 private dining rooms in Sydney for Executive Roundtables.
1. O Bar & Dining
A Sydney icon and revolving restaurant without the “tack.” Sitting on level 47 of Australia Square, most of your guests will know this centrally-located restaurant which features a PDR suitable for up to 28 guests along one table.
The service and food are outstanding, not to be outdone by the best views in any Sydney private dining room.
The Stats:
PDR Capacity: 28 on one table
Cuisine: Modern Australian
Location: CBD
Pros: Natural light, location, service, guest experience
2. Rockpool Bar & Grill
Famous for outstanding steaks & securing the best possible produce, Rockpool is an Australian dining dynasty spanning 3 cities.
Previously headed up by Neil Perry and now under Exec Chef Corey Costelloe, Rockpool Sydney is located in a stunning art-deco building designed in the 1930s and features many private dining spaces.
The Hunter Room can fit up to 24 guests on one table, with windows overlooking Hunter Street providing natural light in a classic setting.
Rockpool is my favourite of the three restaurants here… but I love steak, so I’m biassed!
The Stats:
PDR Capacity: 24 on one table
Cuisine: Modern Australian
Location: CBD
Pros: Cuisine, location, service
3. Otto Ristoronte
A 5-minute Uber outside of the bustling CBD, Otto Ristorante sits right on Sydney Harbour.
I know I’m breaking my CBD office walking rule, but Otto warrants it. The harbour-side location and sun-filled private dining rooms create an amazingly warm destination in summer & spring.
I often find guests who haven’t been to this restaurant before and always comment on how nice it is to get out of the city.
The food is excellent and always reliable, with options to please everyone.
The Stats:
PDR Capacity: 22 on one table
Cuisine: Italian
Location: Woolloomooloo
Pros: Location, guest experience, space, cuisine
So these are the good, but there’s also the bad… and the just plain ugly.
Talk to me before you pick a venue so I can let you know if you’re making a mistake!
