IBM x Tech Data Asset Management Roundtable

IBM and partners Tech Data and Millennium Insights approached us to connect with Asset & Facilities Managers in Melbourne for a Roundtable focused on digital engineering transformation.

The Brief:

Millennium Insights is a technology-forward asset management consultancy. Typically, digital transformation and engineering in asset and facilities management can present unique challenges that professionals must adapt to and plan for.

Therefore, we put together a topic exploring strategies to help asset management professionals effectively enable digital transformation—specifically digital engineering. Organisations must also remain compliant with stringent standards, adding complexity to digital engineering projects.

The Work:

Clutch gathered 15 Asset and Facilities Management professionals from some of Australia’s leading organisations, including Melbourne Airport, Transurban, Victorian Department of Transport, Ventia, three major universities, and Zoos Victoria.

The Outcome:

The roundtable was a resounding success for attendees and our sponsors alike, leading to seven post-event conversations with Millennium Insights and generating several potential projects in the pipeline. IBM and Tech Data continue to work with us based on the success of this project.

  • Embracing Digital Twins for Asset Management: Exploring the creation and utilisation of digital twins as a core component of digital engineering, discussing their impact on enhancing decision-making, optimising operations, and facilitating predictive maintenance.

  • Achieving ISO 19650 Compliance: Delving into the standards set forth by ISO 19650 for managing information over the whole life cycle of a built asset and outlining the steps necessary for compliance, thereby ensuring efficiency, consistency, and quality in digital project delivery.
